Firstly we’d like to say how thrilled and excited we are that we can now welcome you all back, albeit with some slight alterations to ensure safe practice.
How many players will be on each court?
LTA and Government advice is to have no more than 5 players per court (plus the Coach). In most of our sessions there are no more than 4 per court. Players will not change courts and will only play with the other players on their court.
Will my lesson time change?
You will be informed if your lesson timings have changed slightly. All lessons will finish 10 minutes before the start of the next lesson, to allow for players to come on and off the court whilst adhering to social distancing.
Can I Wash my hands?
Please wash your hands or sanitize them before you come to Tennis. Although all coaches will ensure all hands are cleaned with sanitizer before we start sessions and we will also do a secondary hand wash during the lesson.
Is the Clubhouse open?
The Clubhouse is still closed, however the toilets will be available if required.
Can I stay and watch?
For junior lessons, we would ask that you wait in the car/car park. However we acknowledge that some children will want their parent/carer to stay close by. Please make sure that if you are watching your child during a lesson, you remain on the outside of the court area, ensuring you are adhering to social distance guidelines. Maximum 1 spectator per player.
Can I borrow a racket?
We are not allowed to lend rackets at the moment so you must bring your own.
What if I don’t have a racket?
If you don’t have one, please contact me as we do have some that we can sell. New rackets are £10 (limited stock) and pre-sanitised second hand rackets are £5.
Can you hold my place if I choose not to return now?
The first two sessions have been paid for therefore we will hold your place for 2 weeks. After that if you choose not to return no refunds will be given.
What happens to the 2 weeks we owe form before Lockdown?
The two sessions owed from the last two weeks of before lockdown will commence from this Sunday 7th June and end on Saturday 20th June.
It goes without saying that Players are expected to follow the Government guidance on periods of isolation if they or members of their household have symptoms of Covid-19 and should not attempt to play during this period. All players must wash their hands before playing with hand sanitizer. We will provide some but to ensure time within lessons is maximised, please sanitize your child’s hands before they enter the courts.
Before the Lesson:
1.There will be a queuing system to get onto the courts, this will be managed by one of the coaches.
2. Entry to the club must be via the gate by the front door, and please exit between the 2 buildings. This will be sign posted. 3. Hands sanitized on entry to the courts.
During the Lesson:
1. Players may touch the Tennis balls with their hands. Although we will limit this as much as we can.
2. Hands sanitized.
3. All our Tennis balls will be sprayed with sanitizer after each session.
4. Lessons will be structured to ensure social distancing can be adhered to.
5. As always Lessons will be filled with fun, positive energy to really encourage and help the children smile during what has been a difficult time.
End of Lesson:
1. For our younger players 4-8yrs – parents please come onto the court and collect your child and enter back into the club via the entrance and wait to be called onto court.
2. Children over 8yrs – if you feel comfortable please agree with your child you’ll meet them in the car park.
3. For now, if you have any questions please email me after the lesson and not hang around to speak to any of the coaches. 4. I will have a member of staff monitoring the car park for additional safety too.
Whilst adhering to these rules it will be great to get back safely onto the court again. We are all really excited to be able to resume. Look forward to seeing you soon.
